Your note and your data
Privacy
What happens to a note you send through this site, in short pieces. Last updated October 12, 2026.
What it collects
Only what you type, plus a few small extras
- What you type. Your email address and your message (both required), what the note is about, and your name if you choose to give it.
- What the form adds. The page you were on, which button opened the form, and the details your browser sends with every visit (its name and version, your operating system and the kind of device).
- Why. So Gabriel can read your note, reply to you, and see where it came from. Nothing is sold, and your address is never added to a mailing list.
- Your network address. To stop scripts flooding the form, it counts sends per address for one minute. The address is not saved with your note.
Who handles it
Gabriel reads it, and two services carry it
- Gabriel reads every note. He may use an AI assistant to help him read or answer one, and if he does, that assistant sees the note.
- Cloudflare hosts this site and stores your note in its database. It also keeps ordinary technical records of visits for a short time.
- Discord gets a one-line alert that a note arrived, with its topic. The alert carries no name, no email address and no message.
- The Codex assistant is switched on for Gabriel only, so nothing a visitor types there is sent to an AI service.
How long it stays
Twelve months, then it is deleted
- Kept for 12 months. A job runs every day and deletes any note older than 12 months. Nobody has to remember to do it.
- Recovery copy. Cloudflare keeps a short recovery history of its database, for at most 30 days, so a deleted note is gone from there within a month.
- Want it gone sooner? Send a note through the Reach out form on any page and ask, and include the email address you used so the right note is found. If Gabriel has already emailed you, you can reply to that email instead. He deletes it when you ask.
- On your own device. If the form cannot reach the server, it keeps a copy of your draft in your browser only, and clears it once a note goes through.
Cookies and tracking
None
- No cookies, no analytics, no advertising. This site does not track you, build a profile of you or sell anything about you.
- Nothing from outside. Fonts, scripts and images load from this site's own server, not from other companies.
